Super Eagles Head Coach, Rohr has revealed that the midfielder, John Obi Mikel can still be included in Super Eagles squad for the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations, AFCON, in Cameroon.
Recall that the Ex-Chelsea Star has missed Nigeria’s last five games against Seychelles, Libya (home and away), South Africa and Uganda with which some reason included injuries sustained at club side.
Gernot Rohr has promised the door open to the 31-year-old when he fully recovers and ready to return to international duties. He said: “I am in touch with him and the day he will be fit and ready the door is open for him. But you know they have to play at the club, to show us they are ready, it is the same with the captain like other players.”
