CAF STRIPS CAMEROON OFF THE OPPORTUNITY TO HOST 2019 AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS OVER DELAY IN PREPARATION

Confederation of African Football has stripped Cameroon off their next year’s opportunity to host Africa Cup Of Nation and reason been Cameroon’s delay in the preparation for the tournament, due to start in June.

The new development was communicated to the public after their meeting on Friday in Accra, Ghana. In the meeting which lasted fie 10 hours CAF president Ahmad  says it will work to “determine a new organising country by the end of the year”.

Bear in mind that the tournament will commerce in June to July and will be expanded from 16 to 24 teams. As it stands since Kenya has backed off from hosting due to their unreadiness Morocco, South Africa and Egypt are all under consideration as replacement hosts.
