SUPER FALCONS WINS NINTH AWCON AS THEY DEFEAT SOUTH AFRICA

Nigerian Super Falcons came out victorious again for this year’s AWCON after beating South Africa to the title in a penalty shootout.

No goal came from both sides during the regulation time as they were able to match their strength all through the 120 minutes (2 hours) until a penalty shootout where they claimed their victory in 4-3 win.

The recently won title happens to be the ninth one for the Super Falcons Of Nigeria. Francisca Ordega got the woman-of-the-match while Thembi Kgatlana won the most valuable player award and Cameroon winning the Fair Play award as they join Nigeria and South Africa to next year’s FIFA’s Women’s World Cup in France.
